This area of Yarravile was re-zoned to residential in 2011. But somehow has remained empty for over a decade in a housing crisis.
The 'Bradmill' development is 2.3km from the nearest train station (Spotswood), which is too far to walk, but the route could be made to be pretty good via bicycle (7mins)
There is a bus to Yarraville Station which is about 8mins.
The development is right on the Federation trail bike path and so it could be a nice 11km (40mins) ride to Melbourne CBD for those that like to ride.
The development backs on to a goods rail line and I guess it's possible this line could be expanded to provide passenger services.
There will be 3000-4000 people living in the Bradmill development by 2026 with more development up to 2031
