And something funny! I have played eve online. Like.. "Please don't ever tell me how many hundreds or more likely thousands of hours I've spent in this game"-much.. Including back before they made a real effort to improve the new player experience. ED is worse! (In my opinion) 
But based on some searching I did you're supposed to get some mission to leave the starter zone at some point, I'd like to start over to make sure I get there at least before I start faffing about doing my own thing :P
