Fascism isn't politics. Fascism is a cancer. It infects politics and feeds off it, transforming a functional body politic into one that eats itself from the inside. If left alone to fester, the cancer of fascism will happily kill the host body that it needs to survive - in fact it is inevitable.
You don't kill cancer by defending the status quo and pretending the body isn't sick. You bombard it with death until the cancer is gone.
