Yesterday at the bird walk someone asked how I got into birds and seemed surprised when I said that I saw bird photographers sharing their photos on social media, and thought you know what, I'd really like to try that. And then as I learned more about birds I found them fascinating regardless of whether I had a camera or not!

But it's very true, it's thanks to people here on mastodon that I decided to try this, and I already feel like my life is so different after only a few months, it is quite literally proving life-changing.

I'm so grateful to all of you for being inspiring, and being so enthusiastic and encouraging as I discover this whole world I hadn't known existed. 💚🐦💚
