Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: (nprofile…m3qg) It WOULD be interesting to get a better handle on specific policy approval though. Trump is a great example because the discourse on him is so emotionally charged and outright tilted that the narrative has become "Trump has a huge legion of followers who question nothing about him," informed by the high visibility of magapedes - but it's probable that a lot of people who voted for him did so because they agree with one or two key policies. Yet because of representative electoral democracy we get no feedback on that, so whoever wins gets to claim they have a clear mandate.
It might expose some very interesting things. It would at least stop the narrativization of electoral results (e.g. 9 years have passed since Brexit and we still can't decide whether the mandate is economic or cultural.)
