just went on a misty ridge hike with a friend and once we got up to the ridge we were treated to a full close up surround sound wolf pack howling! I’ve never been that close to so many wolfy voices singing together, it was really a sonic highlight of my life tbh! so haunting and beautiful coming through the fog! we were a little cautious about walking directly toward them, but they seemed to disperse and we only heard them intermittently and further away after that
