We let Russia flatten cities in Chechnya, Georgia, Syria, Ukraine, and now we’re letting Israel flatten a city. I’m not sure what “let” means in this context. I’m not sure what you do to stop city flattening, I guess evidently no one is. Reduce the costs of inaction? Increase the other options for action? The obvious is to increase the costs of city levelling and I guess we’re trying, but not winning at that.
