I really enjoyed this wonderful interview from 15 years ago, of SF DA Kamala Harris explaining her policies of trying to get people NOT to commit crimes before they do.
She shows how smart, thoughtful, and caring she is. I know she's taken a lot of heat for the truancy policy, but listen to her. She's trying to protect kids from getting sucked into the criminal justice system.
