Gonna comment on my own post regarding the Rudyard kipling poem.
Nature has hard n fast rules. Deserts and ecosystems like around LA car hard n fast rules. They must burn undergrowth.
If you ignore these laws and rule of nature, they will catch up with you.
Read the Kipling poem again.
"But they (the laws of nature) always caught up with our progress, and presently word would come
That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield, or the lights had gone out in Rome."
California, specifically the LA area, significantly reduced controlled burns in the 90s.
"As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!"
