My favorite (/s) design decision OpenSSH ever made is to silently ignore an `authorized_keys` file with the wrong permission (it could send a message to the client! there's a channel for that! but it doesn't!)
On unix-likes it's a `chmod 0600` away but on Windows, oh boy. All the flexibility of Windows ACLs is a mere 13 clicks away:
