How am I, after 4.6 decades on earth, only learning now that the earliest/latest sunsets/sunrises don't happen on the #solstice?!

Yesterday, in #Portland, sunset went from 4:27 to 4:28, so as far as I'm concerned the days are already getting longer! (Nothing that happens before 10am is relevant to my personal interests.)
