It would be nice if the MTE standard was extended with 8 bit tags and then more but that's not up to them.

Rather than hardware changes, it would be nice if they took testing with MTE more seriously and prioritized the issues it finds much more so they didn't keep shipping new issues causing issues to be detecting in regular use.
