I interned at a nonprofit alongside a young woman who volunteered her free time to help out with stuff.
She and her family had NO money, literally struggling from week to week. But if she ever had snacks around or anything like that, she'd *always* be like "oh, would you like some of my chips?" and so on. It wasn't self-conscious—she just shared stuff. It was how she operated
Generosity has always appeared to me to be inversely correlated to wealth.
