My best combo so far is the tardigrade-type 'mon running a Magnet running interference for an attacker. It's the same combo that the third gym leader was running but fuck him, I thought of it first! I used it ON him, mwahahahaha.
Of course if they're running metal/plastic/poison attacks that strategy works a lot less well, booo.
