UGH. Has to replace my Citi card because of fraud last month, now an alert from Amex. (Someone clearly trying it out with a low-stakes attempt at a McDonald’s in Maryland.) But a follow-up experience that’s why Amex is my favorite card and the only one I’d most hate to give up.
The Citi follow-up—and I have their most premium card with a huge annual fee—felt dodgy and disorganized. The Amex follow-up felt as incredible and reassuring and service-oriented as a hassle like this can be.
