Special kind of cruel fate that kills off (thanks to a lovely driver who I'm sure had a really important place to go, so had to mow her down) one of your remaining elderly ferals only days before you're due to pull her off the street and you're sat there cursing yourself for not doing it earlier. I literally thought "let me pull her off" a few weeks ago and then "nah she has a better life out there than stuck in a room". Turns out she did not!
