I recall when I was little in Poland, we had a period of high inflation there. And I will never forget, one day my father gave me a 10,000 zl. bill—I thought that was a fortune!
Little did I know at the time that could buy a bit of candy.
A few years later, 1995, the currency underwent redenomination: 10,000 old zloty became 1 new zloty.
And that could maybe buy you half a loaf of bread.
