Ah joy apparently this thing where suddenly Firefox decides to hog all the memory and CPU forever in a bunch of weird separate “Isolated Web Content" processes is 1) a known issue, 2) which has been around for at least two years, 3) which periodically pops up and then stops again for different people, 4) with no acknowledgement from the devs.
Well.
Still better than Chrome, I guess?
