Inside a six frame swarm trap, having one or two frames with used honeycomb will also help. I would not put any brood in a swarm trap… However, lemongrass oil is the best attractant, better than any commercial lures.
As a new beekeeper, I would recommend reading two other books to start. The first is “keeping these with a smile”, the second is “keeping bees in horizontal hives”
