And my day job was, briefly, Head of Community Engagement for the Wikimedia Foundation.

The good news, such as it is, is that a lot of people are aware of the problem and working on it, and this paper is just one more excellent brick in the wall of evidence. But culture change is long and slow and hard and there are no guarantees of success.
