I never expected to become an expert of sorts in deliberative bodies and their members, yet here I am, dealing with trustees, commissioners, board directors, supervisors, etcetera, pretty much constantly. I now know much more than I ever expected on various forms of parliamentary procedure, operation manuals, Brown Act and the Sunshine Ordinance.
Not going to lie, I feel like living in and being around anti-authoritarian collectives prepared me well for this.
