How long has it been, arcs turn to crescents.
Each lapping caress eats my body.
I've been here before; memory or prescience.
Now but forever, it seems, oddly.
A glow too bright, and then dusk.
I'm blinded then vision returns.
Over time your perception adjusts.
It seems I sit on an orb that turns.
The sand weighs heavy now, subtle pressure.
But I feel nothing, and still, I look.
Soon, I think, I'll lose my visual measure,
Of what is above that time has took.
But the joy of beneath, a new adventure.
As the waves crash and sink me low.
To what new aquatic indenture,
Do I bid farewell, moon, for what comes below?
