Media are media-focused. Whatever gets them the most attention, that's what they'll print/broadcast. Outrage is easier to maintain than being sensible and nurturing hope it seems. Sharkey and Packham are the nearest thing Greens have to media-worthy figures and therein I think lies the answer. More stars (of almost any kind) = more media coverage. Sad but true. Attenborough is no longer enough, not for this kind of job.
