Ubuntu has PPAs which Debian doesn't (I think, never really used them though). And Ubuntu-based distros mostly use Ubuntu's repos, other Debian based ones mostly use Debian repo (except for a few).
And there's the trust question. Canonical did some shady things in the past, who knows what will it do with Ubuntu forks after they forced flavors to include snap instead of flatpak.
