I am so deeply happy for you. It makes me happy just to know that anyone is living this way.
I live in a lower-middle class suburban neighborhood, in the same half of the United States where I've always lived, though I've lived in five different exact states. I have a car, so I can drive to places to hike. Otherwise, it's grass and a few trees I don't know the names of, plus some squirrels and rabbits, and lots of cars and houses.
Do you think a love of the area where one grew up can happen anywhere -- like, for kids growing up in my boring suburb -- or only if you grow up somewhere nice?
