Red water - Rotes Wasser
Ein Phänomen ist das rote Wasser der Ysperklamm. Es entsteht durch hohen Eisengehalt und Huminsäure. Huminsäuren werden durch Regen aus dem Boden ausgewaschen und deshalb ist die Färbung nach Regenfällen besonders stark.
One phenomenon is the red water of the Ysper gorge. It is caused by high iron content and humic acid. Humic acids are washed out of the soil by rain and therefore the colouring is particularly strong after rainfall.
