Nostr and Obsidian are a perfect match. Nostr focuses on notes and other stuff and Obsidian also focuses on notes.

There's already the "Nostr writer" plugin for Obsidian which is quite useful but it's a one way route: from Obsidian to nostr.

I think it would be cool to bring this concept further and make it work both ways. Users can publish notes to nostr from Obsidian and also download notes from nostr based on certain criteria. The objective is to create a common knowlegdge graph.

Users can follow other users using certain tags which are the trigger to download notes to their vault.

For example: you want to research in an open fashion about growing tomatoes. You use the hashtags #obsidian #tomato on every note and set up a personal list of collaborators.
The plugin then goes ahead and keeps an eye out for these two hash tags used by your listed peers. When it finds notes, it downloads them to your vault for you to visualize.
In turn you are able to choose when to publish your notes for your peers to fetch.

This combination makes it possible to contribute to common knowledge graphs which are accessible by everyone, without facing the risk of being censored, without a single point of failure.
