However, I think that the stdlib as a whole unit could use some more polish -- it feels like every other time I write a program in Hare, I run into some small inconsistency/missing piece of the stdlib that makes it more hard or annoying to express the behavior I want. I've tried to fix those when I've ran across them but it can take the fun out of it sometimes
