Announcing my new btcpayserver (nprofile…xhfg) plugin - XpubExtractor!
With it, you can easily fetch different xpubs from your hardware wallet - especially useful when joining a multisig.
Also, a perfect excuse to onboard your family and friends to your BTCPay instance.
Most of the code is forked from what NicolasDorier (nprofile…v5ym) has written in BTCPay for interaction with Vault.
It's now encapsulated in a simple to use codebase (would be a sweet coding workshop in planbnetwork (nprofile…x23h) if giacomozucco (nprofile…7l4q) & me ever get to it)
Fully FOSS:
https://github.com/rockstardev/BTCPayServerPlugins.RockstarDev/tree/master/Plugins/BTCPayServer.RockstarDev.Plugins.XpubExtractor
Shoutout to Michael Markle (nprofile…6su7) & di_btc, they are the ones that came up with the idea, and also the first users of the plugin.
If any C# devs sees this & wants to tinker with the plugin, I've also opened a simple 1st issue. Feel free to tackle it: https://github.com/rockstardev/BTCPayServerPlugins.RockstarDev/issues/78
Finally, if you have any feedback or comments, drop them below.
I've written a lot of code over the past few months... but magic only happens after release, when Bitcoiners use the tools and share their thoughts. Looking forward to it!
