The Bell Labs horn antenna in Holmdel NJ is going to be saved! Great news. This is the antenna that detected background radiation of the universe (three degrees kelvin). Wilson and Penzias got the Nobel prize for that discovery. I had the honor of working there back in the early 80’s (sysadmin tasks including booting up and installing 4.2BSD on Wilson’s VAX750). Sadly Penzias just passed away last month.
