Apropos of nada - my mum died 31 years ago tonight. I stopped being raw a long time ago and now celebrate her life. However she didn't get to meet her three beautiful granddaughters who are extremely wonderful people. I didn't say anything, but out of the blue everyone converged on our house tonight and I've done a feast and they're all laughing their asses off downstairs and it's really very very wonderful. A family collision that sparks all those good memories and bonds. I mentioned it and it was a moment, but they moved on - arguing, laughing and being generally bawdy and amazing. But for me it is so incredibly special and I couldn't possibly express this to them, so I'm typing it into this stupid website. How absolutely lovely. The actual stuff of life. The good stuff that means so much. For all of the bad stuff, this is what it really means to be alive. Love and light. God I'm such a fucking hippy. I am extremely happy. X
