They'll basically sit on the network, plugged into ethernet, and run a little utility program I develop in rust. No real performance requirements beyond having at least a few hundred megs of ram.
To get them going, ideally I would use an ubuntu core image with dhcp and ansible node configs. I pictured writing the images over USB or on 10 sdcards, then manage the fleet OTA, or something like that.
