GM #Nostr ☕🙂🤙
I hope everyone is well and having a good weekend. 🌞
A small health update:
TL;DR:
Pain not easing, blood test ok, x-ray booked.
My back pain has been typically very up and down, but not getting any better. Sleep is still an issue, as I wake up roughly every 3½ hours as the morphine wears off.
If I try to get out of bed too quickly, or move suddenly, muscles around my lower back go into spasm. If this happens the pain in my spine and nerves in my legs get really intense and then hard to shift.
I had one night this week when I ran out of morphine. I woke in the night as the last dose wore off, and then just could not sleep, couldn't get comfortable anywhere, and didn't know what to do with myself.
So I went to see yet another doctor, because trying to work through the pain doesn't seem to be rectifying it. It's very similar to my 2018 experience.
My blood test from last weekend just showed a few infection markers, but no sign of anything of real concern.
So the doctor also suggested an x-ray next.
I just received a letter from the local hospital confirming an x-ray appointment in a couple of weeks.
I'm not sure what to hope for to be honest. But this latest issue is frustratingly debilitating.
Gotta keep moving though. That's why I just have to keep taking the damn pills for now, as much as I hate them.
Thanks for reading my therapeutic outpouring. 🫂
