Something like a blue check might be useful for identifying people who are likely to have malicious impersonators. I think
https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/05.md is meant to provide room for clients to implement something like this. I could see whoever POTUS happens to be having an identity that shows something like “verified by whitehouse.gov”.
