No rushing to the hospital, no complications, no epidurals, 0 panic attacks, 0 ambulances, 0 training or courses… absolutely no surgery
just completely spontaneous physiological birth
10 hours of labor starting from 1pm to 11pm 10pm - 11pm time it took placenta to present (took 1 hour to admire him & snap back into the 3rd dimension lol)
we waited a few hours & then did the cord burning ceremony
standing, bent forward or on knees for entire time in labor
wasn’t able to lay down (do not know how women give birth this way!)
was pretty quiet throughout most of it, grunting a lot because screaming felt unproductive
got myself in a system by breathing in essential oils, shifting from sitting on toilet to standing with hands on my knees & bearing down
drank raspberry tea right before he came out & went through about 10 bottles of water throughout laboring 💦
naked the entire time just using a beautiful pink muslin cloth to warm myself after contractions (felt cold in resting phases, super hot right after a contraction)
felt like 5 minutes between each contraction the entire time & no i did not count & stress myself with how dilated I was
he finally came in the birth pool after my water broke in the living room & we got it on video while playing music 🎥
it was so beautiful, way too many synchronicities ✨🌌💫
right when you think you have 0 breath, energy, push left in you - the baby crowns & you have this huge sigh of relief & snap back into reality
seeing that full head of black hair coming was so reassuring
7 pounds 6 oz, he was born a day before 39 weeks
had my first baby in my 20’s, before mother’s day, 2 weeks before my birthday, on halving year, on election year ~ wow
