7 years ago, many people paid $50,000 or more to reserve a "next gen" Tesla Roadster which would be in production "next year" every year since then and still hasn't been delivered.

In October 2024 in an earnings call, Musk acknowledged the existence of these deposit holders, who clearly haven't been given their money back yet.
