It kind of feels like Apple wishes these features could just go away. But of course you can’t say apps aren’t allowed to access the local network, or the pasteboard, or other files on a computer. So instead they just make it so incredibly annoying to do that maybe apps will stop making those kinds of features.
It worked with pasteboards. Sure I hate the idea of an app mining my pasteboard, but a lot of apps killed some really convenient features to avoid looking suspicious.
