Propaganda is a primary tool of the interests that want to keep exploiting our labor for the benefit of a handful of people. However, despite being blanketed with it for most of our lives, many are still unconvinced of its false narratives of success if we comply. Even if some don’t want to admit it, we know that’s not true.
The Black Panthers taught us that when people band together to challenge and resist these narratives, the state will regress to using brutal violence to reaffirm control.
Typically this violence was limited to ‘undesirables,’ i.e., Black and Brown folks, hippies, the queer community, etc. The groups of people that white supremacy has deemed unworthy.
But after the shocking election of a Black man as POTUS and the abysmal failure of the white backlash’s response, there has been an uptick of violence that is not limiting itself to marginalized communities.
For people who have access to virtually unlimited resources, their tactics have become even more brazen, uneven, draconian, and scattered.
It feels… desperate.
