UPDATE: The blackbird -- pretty sure it's the same one -- is now terrorizing the blue jays.
A jay just came flying serenely across the meadow and the blackbird just materialized out of thin air and went for it.
Interestingly, the blackbirds all seem to know absolutely which birds are predators. Jays, crows, hawks etc. all get jumped on sight: the rest get left alone.
That guy who flew over in a paramotor earlier won't be back, though, if he knows what's good for him.
