The first question that comes to my mind is, who would the party replace Biden with? They need enough name recognition not to have to start the whole campaign from scratch (not enough time), they need to be capable of doing a better job of countering Trump than Biden is, and they need to be able to not shove the moderate Right firmly into the Trump camp (better they be inclined not to turn out than to turn out for Trump). Who do you think the viable candidates are?
