I was never particularly in favour of defederating with Threads.

ActivityPub as a protocol makes me hopeful of a possible future in which you can follow anyone from anywhere. I love the idea of connecting with people on platforms I don't have to sign up with or be part of.

I don't want to sign up with Threads, but if there's someone there I care about, I'd rather see their posts here than not seeing their posts at all.

But Zuckerberg's statements today definitely make me rethink this stance.
