One thing that worked really well for me fitness-wise was getting into Krav Maga. It's a self defense style that's focused on practical street fighting. There are no competitions, which means you're less likely to have to deal with egos and that macho BS (at least at the Krav Maga Worldwide schools and events I've been to). It's an amazing workout, and it never hurts to know how to defend yourself. Beating the sh*t out of a pad/bag has the bonus of being therapeutic as well, which is an added bonus if you've got stress in your life.

I find I'm much better at working out if I can trick myself into thinking I'm doing literally anything other than working out. Telling myself I was learning Krav Maga, not working out, was motivating enough for me to go 2-3x weekly for 4 or 5 years. I've never managed that consistency at a normal gym. Unfortunately, the pandemic caused my school to close down and I'm still looking for a new one.
