I genuinely respect the ethos of Libertarianism, but it's really hard to get through to Libertarians and make them understand the ways their own ideology "looks good on paper" but doesn't actually work for the benefit of a nation's people in the globalized world, particularly when it comes to concepts like "free trade". Libertarianism has far less "looks good on paper" than Communism, but it still has glaring shortcomings, many of which become clear once geopolitical externalities are factored in.
