My hope was dead for years until 2020 (we had massive protests then, and so much beautiful human spirit and community), and then it was killed again. I know that someday it will change, but I think 2025 is highly unlikely — not with the relentless massive repressions that have been going on since 2020. Everyone's spirit is crushed, and everyone is paranoid, thinking they're going to be arrested any minute.
