"Niloofar Haami, a journalist who was arrested in September 2021 after the death of Mahsa Amini, was acquitted of all charges by the Tehran Appeals Court. She had been sentenced to 7 years in prison for collaborating with a foreign enemy, 5 years for plotting against national security, and 1 year for propaganda against the system. After 17 months in detention, Haami was released on bail in December 2022. The Appeals Court later acquitted her of the charge of collaborating with a foreign enemy and granted her amnesty for the other charges."
