addressed my grandfather for this 85th birthday. He insisted my mom go to the party in Detroit, though he would probably pass while she was gone. He waited until she returned, then died 12 hours later. The tape has been missing ever since. Whatever is on it are literally his last words. I don’t think I should dare try to play mylar audio that old. I will ship it off to a specialist with tools to safely rip a copy, assuming it’s recoverable. I am so excited.
