Hi, Mike.π
Like many others, until I saw this note, I was completely unaware of the link that came with the zaps; I suspect it's client-dependent? (FYI, I mostly use Amethyst)... so yes, you could have much greater reach if only more clients made the link plain...
But now you've got me thinking (THANK you!π):
What if you were to post a note offering a graduated, additive spectrum of rewards:
* a tiny zap for commenting
* a slightly bigger zap for boosting
* a bigger zap for actually visiting your promotional website
* a substantial zap for proof of work
Proof of work, in this case, would entail (for instance) correctly answering questions about the promoted product or service.
This would of course require some software support, and could be throttled by time or date or advertising budget.
I developed a stellar product about a decade ago that I honestly believe belongs in EVERY medicine cabinet on the planet:
https://SILVERengines.com
I would LOVE to try promoting SILVERengines (nprofileβ¦3z67) this way, if only I had the right software tools!π
I am convinced that if the average person were to actually READ about and consider the benefits of our product to their family, there's a very high probability of a purchase, especially if combined with a unique discount/promo code...
Thanks so much for performing this very thought provoking and instructive experiment.ππ»π«ππ
