anyway the LF model means that all that would be needed is for a sponsoring member to direct the LF to create “the linux desktop computing foundation” or something along those lines.
most of the reason why LF has all these projects surrounding it is because LF has a “set up a trade association for my project” service, so companies just subcontract out hosting these foundations to LF.
