where do luxury items turn into "eat the rich"-levels of uselessness? I myself would enjoy having a nice sturdy big couch (as opposed to our IKEA couch) - but you can very easily spend $20,000 on one. look at a luxury new home build; they're bringing sculleries back. is this necessary? who determines what is necessary, what is comfortable, and what is luxury?
