True enough. But with change comes new dangers, or at least, old ones in more dangerous, more pernicious forms. Consider one example.
Growing up, I could trust that articles in an encyclopedia were well-vetted for accuracy and I trusted its veracity. Today, much as I respect the work of the legions who support Wikipedia, I’m more inclined to check the sources for an article I read there, especially the closer to current events its subject.
